Soligie, a market leader in design and manufacture of Printed Electronics, has announced that industry veteran Dr. David Fyfe has joined Soligie's Advisory Board.

Dr. Fyfe has considerable experience leading internationally focused businesses and cultivating them through acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships. In 2000 Dr. Fyfe became Chairman and CEO of Cambridge Display Technology, a 1992 spinout from Cambridge University developing P-OLED (Polymer Light-Emitting Diode) technology. In these positions he grew CDT into a commercial business through a combination of organic growth, acquisition of three complementary technology companies, partnership with a number of predominantly Asian companies and a joint venture with Sumitomo Chemical for P-OLED materials development and commercialization. He led the company to a listing on NASDAQ in 2004, raised over $120 million in funding in private and public placing and in September 2007 led a merger with Sumitomo Chemical which gave CDT shareholders $285 million in cash. He is a recognized leader in, and champion for, the rapidly growing OLED industry.

Dr. Fyfe also sits on the board of Acal Energy, a UK-based fuel cell technology developer, and for the past three years has chaired the World OLEDs Summit. He is a frequent invited speaker at international OLED and display industry conferences. He holds degrees from Cambridge University in Natural Sciences and a PhD from the UK's Council for National Academic Awards for research done on an electrochemistry topic.

"Soligie is proud that Dr. Fyfe has agreed to accept this important role," said Matt Timm, President of Soligie. "His extensive technical and business expertise in printed electronics provides a unique and valuable perspective to our Advisory Board."

"Soligie fills a void in the industry by offering design and high volume manufacturing that integrates displays, memory and other components into printed electronics products. The customers for these innovative products are often 'fabless' and seek a company such as Soligie which can deliver the integrated product design for them to market. This is a key component of the technology 'ecosystem' required to bring innovative concepts to market. I'm very pleased to have the opportunity to work with the talented management and staff at Soligie backed by the resources and enthusiasm of Taylor Corporation for this emerging form of printed product," adds Dr. Fyfe.

Soligie

Soligie is the leading company to utilize high speed manufacturing to produce printed electronics with a variety of conductive, resistive and proprietary materials on flexible substrates such as PET, paper and foil.

The Company is on the cutting edge of a new industry that will enable production of electronic components using high speed, fully additive roll-to-roll processes. Soligie offers a full range of services from concept design, circuit design, design for manufacturability and final volume production, and currently serves the medical device, smart packaging, RFID and flexible interconnect markets. Soligie's design and manufacturing have achieved ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 certification. Through the combined use of emergent materials and proprietary manufacturing processes, electronics components such as memory, sensors, displays and batteries will be integrated into applications on thin flexible substrates. Soligie is also investing in the development of processes for printed thin-film transistors that can be used in products such as smart labels, medical patches and chipless RFID tags. Soligie is located in Savage, Minnesota and is owned by the Taylor Corporation.
