Electrically conductive fine-line epoxy ink for printed electronics
Creative Materials, Inc., introduces 125-26A/B119-44, Electrically Conductive Fine-Line Flexible Two-Part Epoxy Ink, for the printed electronics industry. Available as a two-component system, 125-26A/B119-44 features excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, including transparent conductive oxides and low surface-energy substrates.
In addition, it is resistant to scratching and creasing. Able to print fine circuit traces, 125-26 has many applications in the printed electronics industry, including touch screens, solar cell circuits, and RFID applications.
The current challenge in the micro-technology industry is to pack more components into a smaller area, allowing for other components to take that place. Advances in printed electronics have begun to address this challenge. The ability to use printed circuits for touch screen displays greatly reduces the bezel area needed to hide the trace lines, allowing increased viewable area of the display.
Future printed electronics applications will expand to NFC (near field communication) -enabled devices. Narrow traces laid down with 125-26 present a high profile with a fine line, allowing the same conductivity within a tighter space.
Creative Materials' fine line inks are capable of line widths and spaces as small as 50 to 75 microns. A very resilient product, 125-26 offers low sensitivity to handling, abrasion and solvents, as well as providing excellent adhesion to coated substrates. In addition, 125-26 is RoHS compliant.
