Thermoplastic Polyurethane films (TPU films) from Epurex Films GmbH & Co. KG allow sensitive electronic items to be directly embedded by means of efficient roll-to-roll or roll-to-sheet production technology.

The specific melting behaviour of Platilon® ID films lead to homogeneous softening up to a consistency like plasticine. The delicate electronic components and electrical connections are embedded in the highly viscous TPU melt and securely enclosed. Once the material has cooled down, a lasting flexible bond is formed which withstands even high mechanical stresses and strains. In a secondary processing step the embedding material Platilon® can be bonded directly to various other substrates, e.g. different plastics and glass.

Pliability and thus lifetime of electronic devices can be extended by decoupling the rigid individual layers using Thermoplastic Polyurethane films (TPU films) from Epurex Films GmbH & Co. KG.

Platilon® TPU films help to optimize monolithic structures. Bonding together rigid and flexible elements decouples the rigid materials. Bending strength is considerably raised by soft interior film layers, helping to prevent that failures caused by stress cracks shorten the lifetime of an electronic device. Platilon® ID films from Epurex Films are lasting flexible, free of plasticizers and solvents, and they bond evenly. They have a long service life while retaining their specific material properties.
