CPFilms® Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Solutia Inc. (NYSE: SOA), and the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of precision coated films for industrial, commercial and solar applications, announced the launch of their new Invisible ITO and Low Color b ITO polyester films for touch screen display applications.

Both Invisible ITO and Low Color b ITO polyester films were developed in response to new technology in the touch panel market. The Invisible ITO film minimizes or eliminates obvious signs of etching while creating a smooth appearance on touch screens. The demand for negative b ITO provides a neutral to bluish appearance on touch screens and helps eliminate the yellow color in some applications.

"As part of CPFilms, Precision Coated Films has a long history of innovation and staying on the forefront of technology. These latest product announcements are a result of the wide range of processes we have access to in-house which makes us stand out in the industry," said Scott Morris, general manager of Precision Coated Films. These announcements follow the August 2008 launch of a premium clean, very low tack, and optically clear protective masking film.

Solutia's CPFilms business is a leading worldwide manufacturer of precision coated polymer films. Its production capabilities include a wide range of film enhancement technologies including coating and laminating, silicone release coating, deep dyeing, and vacuum coating, including thermal evaporation and sputter coating. With production facilities in the United States and the United Kingdom, CPFilms supports a worldwide clientele consisting of Fortune 1000 companies and other leading OEM manufacturers.
