Samsung announced that it has developed the largest active matrix (AM) Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display. The OLED display eventually promises to be cheaper because it can be printed, and other advantages include wider viewing angles and generally better power consumption, plus larger yields compared to conventional inorganic LED displays. The AM is based on Amorphous Silicon (a-Si).

Samsung are aiming this product for the commercial TV market.
