A novel material for transparent and flexible displays

The next generation of flexible and transparent displays will require a high-performing and flexible polymeric material that has the optical and thermal properties of glass. The material must be transparent to visible light and have a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Unfortunately, such a polymeric material has not been available.

Researchers have created 3D-printed flexible mesh structures that can be controlled with applied magnetic fields while floating on water. The structures can grab small objects and carry water droplets, giving them the potential to be useful as soft robots that mimic creatures living on water surfaces or that can serve as tissue scaffolds for cell cultures.

ARMOR signs partnership agreement with UNESCO

This new cooperation between UNESCO and ARMOR in the field of new technologies, in particular solar kits, comprising ASCA organic photovoltaïc films and portable and rechargeable lamps, constitutes an innovation, which has been experimented on a pilot basis, at the beginning of this year in a public primary school in Akplolo, Togo. This pilot will be part of the broader project, which will be implemented in the framework of this partnership agreement.

LONGi Solar has announced that it has achieved a new monocrystalline silicon PERC world record conversion efficiency using commercial wafer (M2) dimensions that exceeds 24 percent for the first time, according to tests carried out by the National Center of Supervision and Inspection on Solar Photovoltaic Product Quality in China.
