The 5th annual Innovations in Large-Area Electronics Conference will be returning to the Wellcome Genome Campus Conference Centre in Hinxton, Cambridge, on 22-23 January 2019, to deliver a programme highlighting the most innovative and exciting aspects of large-area electronics (LAE) - a new way of making electronics which includes printable, flexible, plastic, organic and bio- electronics.
"Innovations in large-area electronics today will define the technology landscape of tomorrow."
- Professor John Rogers, Northwestern
innoLAE 2018 keynote speaker
LAE has the potential to unlock new markets and expand existing products by introducing new form factors, new functionality and new cost structures. Communication between the sectors and stake-holders involved in LAE research, manufacturing, integration and application is essential for tackling challenges along the chain of innovation: from proof-of-concept research to the design of manufacturing and scale-up processes.
The innoLAE conference and exhibition provides just such an opportunity for sharing knowledge, building collaborations and ultimately bringing innovation into the market and accelerating the uptake of new technologies. Ever since its inception, innoLAE has attracted equal and growing interest from both academia and industry, with the three days of innoLAE 2018 conference events attracting over 260 delegates, representing 142 organisations from 14 countries.
Conveniently situated just 20 minutes from Stansted airport, innoLAE 2019 will host researchers from around the world, giving speakers and delegates the chance to interact with key LAE decision makers, hear latest research results, network with colleagues, form new partnerships, and access an exhibition showcasing leading companies' latest developments... all under one roof!
Keynote speakers currently include Prof. Dr Karl Leo, award-winning pioneer in the field of organic semiconductors and Director of the Dresden Integrated Center for Applied Physics and Photonics (IAPP), and Dr Janos Veres, an entrepreneurial technologist leading the Novel and Printed Electronics program at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). Other invited speakers currently include representatives from Jaguar LandRover, PragmatIC, SmartKem, Laboratory of Organic Electronics, Linkoping University and FlexEnable.
