Canatu awarded volume order for automotive customer

Canatu, a manufacturer of next-generation transparent conductive films and touch sensors, announces yet another triumph in a succession of design wins.
Canatu's CNB™ Touch Sensors will be incorporated into a new automotive model for a North American customer. Production starts immediately with first deliveries in July. Canatu's family of transparent conductive films, incorporating unrivalled flexibility and 3D formability coupled with zero haze and reflectance make them the material of choice for this growing and exciting market.Canatu
"We are delighted with this, our latest in a series of customer wins. This year we have placed a strong emphasis on the automotive sector and have seen immediate results. We see an abundance of opportunities fuelled by the robust demand for infotainment systems and HMI products. Automotive is leading the way in the charge to replace buttons, switches and knobs with sleek integrated capacitive sensing into unique and stylish 3D in car surfaces. We are very positive about the future", says Erkki Soininen, VP Marketing and Sales, at Canatu.
With a growing demand for touch applications, Canatu's value proposition for automotive industry is exceptionally solid and appealing. Products developed with Canatu's flexible and 3D formable Carbon NanoBud® material offer OEM's the technology to replace traditional buttons with touch applications, enabling unparalleled design freedom and excellent sunlight readability due to the lack of reflections and haze, inherent to Canatu's Carbon NanoBud transparent conductive films.
