Glossary: Sequential numbering systems

Sequential numbering systems simply allot numbers in sequence such as 1,2,3,4 ... They are usually used in closed systems. Contrary to popular understanding, the UCC EAN segmented numbering systems can be linked compatibly to segmental numbering systems.
