Glossary: Tertiary packaging

Packaging designed to facilitate handling and transport of a number of sales units or grouped secondary packs in order to prevent physical handling and transport damage. Tertiary packaging usually encloses many secondary packages for transit, crates air ULDs and intermodal containers being examples.
