Success of Printed Electronics USA

Last week the annual IDTechEx Printed Electronics USA event featured 160 exhibiting companies, over 200 presentations and approximately 2,200 attendees. Exhibitor attendance grew by over 50% and attendees grew by over 35% compared to the previous year.
The highly successful conference and tradeshow covered the broad range of emerging materials and devices, including OLEDs, sensors, TFTs, stretchable and textile electronics, displays, inks, manufacturing and much more. In addition, new topics covered this year included 3D printing, bioelectronics, energy harvesting and supercapacitors. Presentations, exhibitors and attendees covered the full supply chain from materials to their final application in verticals such as the media, consumer electronics, consumer goods, the internet of things and vehicles.
Raghu Das, CEO of IDTechEx, said, "We were delighted by the strong growth of this event. The industry is now changing and moving to being commercially focussed as evident by the greater work on developing complete solutions, and high attendance from end users. Feedback from attendees and exhibitors was excellent - many met direct customers in addition to users at the end of the supply chain to learn of their needs and experiences."
