With over one month to go until the famous IDTechEx Printed Electronics Europe event in Dresden, on April 7-8, attendance has achieved record levels, and is on track to bring together over 800 attendees, by far the World's largest and most comprehensive event on the topic.
Attendees from 25 countries have registered, from as far as Australia to Canada and India to Slovenia. The event has drawn the highest number of end-users yet, including family name companies such as BMW, Nestle, Unilever, Ravensberger and Nokia. This is indicative of the increasing interest of such companies to use printed electronics in their products.
Raghu Das, CEO of IDTechEx, the world's leading analyst and event firm on printed electronics, says "Despite the economic climate, growth has been remarkable. We have engaged with many consumer goods companies, who are largely recession proof, who are undertaking significant initiatives to use printed electronics in their products and enable better merchandising and new services for consumers. Those attending the event will join the largest gathering of users, suppliers, press and integrators this year." In addition, IDTechEx has co-located its European Photovoltaics Beyond Conventional Silicon, event, with speakers including Fiat and NASA, and covering all thin film photovoltaic technologies. With 57 confirmed exhibitors and over one month to go, IDTechEx expects over 70 exhibitors at the event. Many companies are exhibiting for the first time this year, such as Samsung, Plastic Logic and Muehlbauer. Coverage is global and of vital interest to industries as disparate as chemicals, consumer goods, healthcare, military, electronics and publishing.
