Today Art Technology launches a new brand of watches - the Phosphor Watches which incorporate an E-paper display from E-ink.
IDTechEx was sent one of the watches to preview - see images shown below and above.
The large screen has a curved surface to match the curvature of the wrist - something not available today with LCD displays. In addition, the display is not segmented as an LCD one is, allowing a wide range of ways that data can be arranged on the screen, including a full month calendar display. Digits are solid and curved rather than the usual segmented types and the screen can be reversed from black figures on white to white figures on black.
The watch will sell for $175-$195 depending on the brand.
