In May 2007, two Chinese universities reported on their discoveries in OLED lighting and displays. They were Hong Kong Baptist University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. We have already reported on work at East China University of Science and Technology in our news piece "Printed Electronics in China".

There is other work on printed and potentially printed electronics in the Chinese Universities Nankai University, Sichuan University and the University of Hong Kong but the main focus in these universities is photovoltaics including organic, CIGS and DSSC versions.
